In embracing the existing structure of the home, we sought to make considered modifications to its structure enabling the offset layout to work to the advantage of how programs were traversed through, viewed and obscured from view. Employing double sliding doors between the lobby and the core of the home enabled for a performative unveiling of the heart of the home to guests, while a single oversized slider was employed to turn the living room into a theatre room providing acoustic control and visual obscurity.

At the heart of the home sits a sculpted multi-function diving wall that serves as a roundabout for fast footed children traversing between living spaces. The various functions of dividing wall enabled; built-in feature storage, booth seating serving the dining room, central control of the homes systems and a dual sided gallery wall. The cantilevered wall was offset from the top of the credenza and the ceiling enabling light and natural air to flood into the lobby area of the home whilst obscuring the private dining area which is inline of the main entry of the home.
